Truman Middle School 8th Graders Pay Tribute To Bob Marley With Poems
“I wanted to get the students to express their learning and understanding about Bob Marley in a way that they could include their own vision of the world they are living in.”

On Thursday, May 11, 2017, the Iyah Music Show honored Bob Marley (6 February 1945 – 11 May 1981) with a presentation of poems written by the students at Truman Middle School located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The listeners were entertained with a variety of Bob Marley songs accompanied with a recital of a poem before each Marley song by Eeyo, the host dj.
The Iyah Music Show is a weekly radio program airing on KUNM 89.9 FM, Albuquerque, that features a wide spectrum of reggae music.
