Love Supreme by Nneka showcases her artistic and creative abilities with this new release.
Her Nigerian upbringing has had a palpable effect on her lyrics, which take on injustice in a way rarely seen in the genre. In 2010 she released her American debut, Concrete Jungle, which compiled songs already available overseas.
Nneka’s lyrics focus on the positive aspects of relationships. She brings to light a demand for responsibility towards children. Her music reflects the importance of culture, education and identity values.
Nneka Reflects On The Year 2020
Hi everyone. We’ve all been through some things this year or probably even the last couple of years. I would like to use these sessions as an encouragement for you to remember your divine essence of being.
In this world’s perception of space and time, we tend to forget that there is the silence and stillness within all of the distorted confusion and within this place we can draw breath and remember to lean back..and feel.
Let us be gentle to ourselves. Be thankful. Not be afraid to feel, to express, to cry if needed, to let go of old patterns and create new healthy ones. Let us…ask for help if needed. Let us give where we want and truly can… Sing, dance, go to the ocean, scream, smile, tell someone you care..,resolve that old resentment, talk to that person you’ve held grudge against…spread love With you all in light. — N
